Price range for full coverage dental insurance plans

Friday, Sep. 24th 2010 8:41 AM

I am currently taking care of my dad.  He has a job that offer his medical but no dental insurance benefits.  He lives with my husband and I but I was already told by our dental insurance that we can not add him to our plan.

If I was to pay for a full coverage dental insurance plan, where he can stay with his current dentist about how much would I be look at as far as a monthly cost for the insurance?  he is 68 and live in GA. Thanks for any help.

I have really bad teeth and need full coverage dental insurance

Thursday, Sep. 23rd 2010 8:35 AM

What do you do when you know you have really bad teeth and are on a tight budget?  I am feeling stuck right now.  I know I will need more dental work then normal since I have not been to the dentist in over six to seven years.

I want dental insurance but I would need dental insurance that offer the most in dental coverges since I do not know what I may need to have done.   Looking for the best dental insurance with little to no waiting periods.

What are the benefits of buying a dental discount plan

Monday, Sep. 20th 2010 10:55 AM

Right now I have nothing in regards to having dental insurance and or a plan.  I have not even seen a dentist in over three years.  I think my teeth are find since they do not hurt and they are white.  However, I have been thinking about going to the dentist to make sure.

I am just not sure if buying a dental discount plan or buying dental insurance is really worth the money.  I been told by a few dental that the only plans worth getting are PPOs however I noted they are out of my cost range.  If you can not afford dental PPOs is getting anything else worth the effort and money?

Dental Coverages, Why do PPO plan cost more yet seem to have more limitations

Sunday, Sep. 19th 2010 8:12 AM

For the past few days now I have been shopping out dental insurance.  I talked to my dentist to find out what dental insurance plans I should get and was told by the staffing that I would need to get a dental PPO plan that has outside network.

Okay they are easy enough to find on line, but what I am finding out is that they are costly with many limitations. Such as  Waiting periods, Deductibles and Max limits.  What is all that about?  Are all PPOs like this?   If I do not want all these limits is there any insurance I can get?

I seen dental discount plans that look better the PPOs and cost much less but I am just not sure about getting a discount plan right now.

Reviewing the Nationwide Multiflex dental plan coverages.

Saturday, Sep. 18th 2010 9:03 AM

Hi I am hoping you can help me go though some of your available plans.   I have been reviewing the different Nationwide dental insurance plans you have.  I have a few questions about coverages.

What do you mean by max benefit I see then between 500 -2000.  If I pay the plan in full would they wave the waiting periods?  Or if I can show I do not need major dental services right now will they wave the waiting periods?  I would like the shortest waiting periods possible only because you never know what may happen right after buying a plan.

Oral and dental health care.

Friday, Sep. 17th 2010 10:50 AM

I do not think that my sister has good oral and dental health care.  Her teeth look really yellow to me and when I ask if she seen a dentist she says she can not afford to see one.   I know she has her son that she taking care of but I do not think she should let herself go in the process.

Do you have any good oral and dental health care tips that she can applie without having to go to the dentist?  Something I could pass along to her were her teeth can start looking better.

Dental insurance quotes, buying on line dental insurance

Wednesday, Sep. 15th 2010 10:36 AM

I live in Kansas and I am in need of dental insurance.  My problem is that I really do not care what dentist I go to but it seems that the dental insurance plans that are network plans do not have dentist with in a 100 miles from me.

I am not too surprised since locally we only have three dentist in the area.  I need a dental insurance quote for a dental insurance plan that has no network or at least does not drop my coverages when you go outside the network because you have not choice in the matter.

Dental Coverage, Root canal cost

Tuesday, Sep. 14th 2010 10:30 AM

I know I need to have a root canal done and I have been putting it off due to lack of money.  Now my tooth is really starting to hurt and I am not sure what I should do.  I still have very little money however my mom said that I should get dental insurance that offer coverages on a root canal.

She said it should make having a root canal more affordable.  She is also willing to help me pay for having the root canal done if I get dental insurance to help save some money.  I never got dental insurance for myself so I am not sure where to start.  Random searching on line is not my forte can you offer some advise?

Getting a dental discount plan for your family.

Monday, Sep. 13th 2010 10:21 AM

I have a family of  six counting my mom which I do take care of.  We all right now do not have dental insurance and with the cost for dental services and the way they keep going up I really could use some help.

I can not afford to get dental insurance plans right now since what I been seeing is that they run around  $100 –  $200 a month and that does not include my mother.  I have be really leaning towards getting a dental discount plan since it say it does include all house hold family members. My question is would that include my mother as well?  If so anything else I should consider when getting a dental discount plan?

Are Dental Discount plans a good alternative to Dental Insurance

Sunday, Sep. 12th 2010 10:12 AM

I am a single 24 year old living in Maine.   I am working full time and go to school part time. I get medical insurance benefits with my job but not dental.  I always take good care of my teeth so I do not have an major dental needs.  However I would still like to see a dentist twice a year for my cleanings.

I have been shopping out dental insurance plans only to feel that right now they are too costly for my current dental needs.  I have been seeing s few dental discount plans but not sure if they are as good as they seem.  Are they a good alternative to dental insurance? Would getting a dental discount plan really save me money?

Getting the best dental health care for a low cost.

Saturday, Sep. 11th 2010 10:07 AM

My mom is 67 and is on a fixed income.  She only get teeth extraction though her medicare.  She has all her teeth and none of them need to be pulled.  However she really can not afford to have just basic dental health care.

Are there dental insurance plans that can offer really good basic dental care so that my mom can start to afford seeing the dentist like she should?  Or are their dentist that offer dental health care at a very low cost for fixed income seniors?

Dental Coverages, Comparing dental insurance plans.

Friday, Sep. 10th 2010 10:01 AM

I am on line shopping out my current dental insurance plan could use some direction.  I currently get dental insurance though my job.  And although it only cost me $5.00 per pay check which works out to $10.00 a month it does not really offer much in the way of coverage.

I would like to find a better dental insurance plan even if I have to pay a little more for it.  When comparing plans and the coverages they offer is there an easier way to go though each plan?  I am finding it very time consuming.   My price range a month for dental insurance would be around $20 – $25.  Yet I pull up dental insurance plan that go much higher then what I want to spend.   How do I find just the lower cost range plans in hope they may still have better dental cover then what I have now.

Full coverage dental insurance, is everything covered

Thursday, Sep. 9th 2010 9:49 AM

What does it mean when you are searching on line for dental insurance and you see plans stating full coverage dental insurance?  I go into them and I do not see how they are full coverage plans.  So may be I not sure what is meant by full coverage.

Does it mean that I pay a premium and then do not have to pay for any dental services?  Or is it that every thing would be covered under a certin limit but at least then I would be albe to have coverages for dental services like  implants or veneers ?

I want to buy the best dental plan out there cost is not to big of an issue but I want to get the best coverages.  So I am trying to understand what is and what is not fully covered.

Getting dental insurance for partials

Tuesday, Sep. 7th 2010 9:33 AM

Can I get dental insurance to fix some partials I have?  I had my partials now for five years and they are just getting old and ill fitting.  Will getting dental insurance help me either get new ones or at least fix the ones I currently have?

You should not wait to get dental insurance.

Monday, Sep. 6th 2010 10:04 AM

One of the biggest mistakes I often  see  people do,  is  that they do not get dental insurance until major dental work is needed.   Often stating that they did not get dental insurance because all they  ever have done is the twice a year check ups and cleanings.

In theory that may sound good.  Until the day you need more then just a cleaning and X-rays.  That is when you are left chasing down insurance.  If you  also want to stay with your current dentist, you may find out the plans you need inorder to keep your current dentist are the same plans that have long term waiting periods for anything more then your basic cleanings.

Do your homework shop out dental insurance and think about any furture needs you have.  You be better off getting insurance now then waiting until you have a toothache.

Dental Discount for full dentures.

Sunday, Sep. 5th 2010 9:50 AM

Two years ago I got full dentures done.   At that time I had dental insurance but I did not see a reason to keep it.  Now I need new dentures since I no longer have the ones from two year ago.  My X boyfriend took them when I was sleep and  broke them up saying he paid for them so since he was leaving I did not need them anymore.

I could just cry now because I am left with no teeth and have little money in getting new dentures.  It is true that he did pay for my dentures but I had the insurance at the time to make the affordable and he had no right doing what he did to me.  Please any advise on what I can do now.
