Rhode Island dental insurance for a broken tooth

Wednesday, Dec. 1st 2010 11:14 AM

I had this back tooth with an old silver filling.  Two days ago the tooth cracked and part of the filling came out.   I am not in any real pain but it does hurt a little here and there.  I do not have dental insurance but thought now would  may be a good time to pick something up.  Out of the plans you have what would be good to get that can help me the fastest.  Thank you

Pennsylvania Dental Insurance Coverages, How does a typical dental insurance plan work

Tuesday, Nov. 30th 2010 6:07 AM

What I am wanting to understand is if say I buy a typical dental insurance plan what would I get out of it?  I see some that say there is no charge for X-rays and cleaning but is that really all I get out off it.   I do not see how much basic filling cost?

As far as crown and extractions I see that the dental insurance plan make you have long term waiting periods before they will even start to cover those type of dental services.

Seems to me that insurance plans offer a free cleaning as if it is something really good but you have to hope you do not need anything else for a year.  Please advise why that is the case.  And if there is any thing that would not work this way.

Maine Dental Discount plan for major dental work

Monday, Nov. 29th 2010 9:47 AM

I haven’t been to the dentist since I was last on my parents dental insurance plan over six years ago.  I know I need some major dental work.  I am not in pain or anything I just know that my teeth are not in good shape.

I am not sure if I should get a dental insurance plan with its waiting period and yearly max and just have the dental work done a little at a time.  Or if I would be better off getting  a dental discount plan for the dental saving so that I can have my dental work done all at once.  Which way in the long run would be cheaper?

New Hampshire Dental Discount Plan vs Dental Insurance which is better.

Sunday, Nov. 28th 2010 10:14 AM

Choosing between a dental discount plan and dental insurance which one offers you better cost for dental services render.   I am looking for a dental plan that will offer me the most coverages without all the limitations and exclusions every time you turn around.

I do not want to buy dental insurance or a plan and find out they do not cover what the dentist is telling me I need.  So what is the best to get?  Discount dental or Insurance.

New Jersey Low cost dental plan for my family.

Saturday, Nov. 27th 2010 8:19 AM

Right now my parents are on a very fixed income. They do not have dental insurance and can not afford to get a family dental plan that is going to be more then $50.00 a month. My dad is always working to pay the bills so I do not see him much.  Even though he works hard he can not afford $120 or more a month for dental insurance.

I am 17 and do work a part time I can help pay for a low cost dental plan.  My parent may still not go to the dentist but I would like to so I hoping to find a plan that will work for all of us and be very affordable.

Careington dental plan in New York, Moving with braces on

Friday, Nov. 26th 2010 9:02 AM

About a  little over a year ago I picked up the Careington dental plan for my daughter so she can have braces that our current dental would not cover.   I have been happy with the saving I was getting since it was sure better then nothing at all.

However  my husband job is making us move over 100 miles away from the dental office she goes to for her braces.  I am not sure if I want to be doing that type of driving every month.

My daughter  still has her braces and they will not be done in time before the move since she needs them for another year.  Will I still be able to get my 20% discount under the plan if I change to a different  dentist under the plan.

Connecticut dental insurance coverages, Should I keep my Dental Insurance

Thursday, Nov. 25th 2010 8:50 AM

I just got a dental insurance plan about two months ago.  I got my ID cards in the mail and I went in for my first dental appointment in the past three years.  I was really happy that I was going to finally have my teeth looked at.

Well I was told for the most part I have really strong teeth but since I have not been to the dentist is a long time I have the starting of gingivitis.   So I will be needed deep cleaning.  Which I also found out that my dental insurance plan I got will not cover me for.   That I have a year waiting period I did not know about for major dental work.

Now I have to pay out of pocket for my dental services and not sure if it is even worth keeping a dental plan that is going to make me wait a year for major dental work.

Dental care, Gingivitis treatment needed in Maryland

Wednesday, Nov. 24th 2010 5:12 PM

I have gingivitis and having the needed gum treatment without dental insurance is going to cost me over 700.   I really need help!  I am on a low income right now and can not afford to pay that much money for the dental care I need.  However I still worry about not doing anything since the dentist told me I can loose my teeth if I do nothing at all.

Dental Insurance Florida, Tooth broke after having a Root Canal.

Wednesday, Nov. 24th 2010 8:16 AM

I live in Florida and I had a root canal done on one of my bottom molars.  The root canal treatment was done about a month ago.  The dentist put a temporary crown on that tooth and i was to come back in for my permanent crown latter on in the being of next month.

My temporary crown had fallen off like three days latter and since I was going back into the dentist next month I really did not do anything about it.   I was careful about what I eat but now I notice that there seem to be a hole in that tooth that was not there before.  I really think I may have broken the tooth.  My appoint is in three more days for the new crown to be put on.  What will happen now?  Can I still have my new crown put on ?

Dental treatment, Dental fillings do they hurt?

Tuesday, Nov. 23rd 2010 8:31 AM

I was told my six year old son needs to have two filling done on some baby teeth.  He has an appointment in a week from now.  I never had any cavities so no filling work done.  I am not sure if having filling will hurt.   I worried over this because I do not want my son to be scared of going to the dentist if they hurt him.

Florida Dental Insurance, Diabetes and getting good dental care benefits

Sunday, Nov. 21st 2010 5:05 PM

I am a diabetic and because of that I have very bad teeth and gums.  I have to go to the dentist all the time to stay on top of any dental issues so that I can do my best to keep my teeth.

Because of this my dental cost are getting very expensive and I really need a plan that will not limit me on my dental care.  If I need more then $1000 of dental work in one year then that’s what I need. With my diabetes I can not afford to wait out for my policy terms to roll over.   Are there dental plans that will not limit the amount of work I may need done?

Dental fears in a 9 year old.

Sunday, Nov. 21st 2010 8:22 AM

My daughter had a bad experance with a dental office when she was eight.  The dentist was very rude and had hurt her serval times when she was getting a filling done.  I can understand to some degree why she has fears now.

However I changed dental office after that and we have this very caring dentist.  She is so nice.  However just taking my daughter to the dentist for a cleaning make her so upset and she crying the whole time.  I hate that she is like this now because of a prior dentist.  Is there anything I can do to make her get over her fears?

I do not want her to stop going to the dentist as soon she an adult and I can no longer force her to go.   Advise please

Dental insurance for low income household

Thursday, Nov. 18th 2010 9:04 AM

I need some dental care.  I am 17 and have not seen a dentist in over five years.  My mom says it because we do not have the money.  I know we are low income but should there not be some place I can go to get dental care so my teeth do not fall out?

Is there any dental insurance plans a minor can get that is low in cost.  Heck I pay for it myself.  I work a part time job so I can aford arount 20 – 25 a month if I could get some for myself.  Any ideas where to search.

Dental, Can I whiten my teeth when I have braces

Wednesday, Nov. 17th 2010 9:58 AM

I have metal braces on right now and I have at least a year more to go with them on.  My teeth are not as white as they use to be before getting the braces put on for an overbite.  Can I whiten my teeth with braces or will the whiting strips mess up the metal braces?

I want to get dental insurance where I not having to file out dental claims

Tuesday, Nov. 16th 2010 8:19 AM

Right now I have dental insurance with my job.  And although since I am getting though my job it does not cost me much I am tired of dealing with claims.  The dentist I go to makes me pay for the dental services in full.

Where then they fill out the claim form for me but I left to dealing with it.  I sometimes have to wait over a month just to get my refund back.  Sometimes I really need dental work done that I do not have done just because I can not afford to pay the dentist for the complete billing. Is there any insurance plans where I not left doing this all the time?
