I was up late watching TV when I had yawned, right away I heard my jaw popped. It also felt like it locked up for just a second. I went to my doctor thinking I may have some type of ear infection because I was a little dizzy when I would get up or down. My doctor told me my ears were find.
My ears did seem to clear up but my jaw still would hurt me on and off. I try not to yawn but when I do I have that same popping and catching feeling.  I went back to the doctor who told me to see a dentist for possible TMJ issues.
I looked up online what TMJ is and it seem to fit what is happening to me. Will dental insurance cover for TMJ ?  I do not have dental insurance since I never really needed due to my dentist is a family member and he would always clean my teeth for free. I asked him about it and was told if I do have TMJ he could not help me with it that I would need to see an Orthodontic dentist. Where do I get dental insurance for my possible problem.?

What type of dental insurance offers you full dental coverages? I am an adult with no kids. I am looking for a dental insurance plan that does not exclude coverages for cosmetic dental services. I want a plan that does it all. I not saying I need cosmetic dental services but if in the future I do then I want a plan to cover me. I can not seem to find them on line though. so what should I be looking for?

What I am wanting to know is, if say I buy a typical dental insurance plan what types of benefits would I get? I know some plans say free cleaning and X-rays but is that really all I get? Would I be able to have fillings done at a low cost too?
What about the rest of the dental services do all dental insurance plan make you wait until you can have anything beyond a cleaning? Seems to me that they offer a free cleaning as if it is something really good but you have to hope you do not need anything else for a year. I do not understand why that is the case.

I know that on a dental discount plan you get discounted saving off your dental services. But want I am wanting to know is would I be lacking in coverages or benefits if I buy a dental discount plan over dental insurance.
I am leaning towards a dental discount plan. However, when I tell my work friends that I may get a discount plan they tell me that I should just get dental insurance. They say this but they do not give me any valid reasons why they feel that way.
Oh and if it helps our company is paying half of the cost for whatever plan we get. So it not completely about cost just looking for the best dental plan

So I am not sure what to get to help me now with my wisdom teeth. What dental insurance plan should I be looking for that will over me the most in coverages for having the wisdom teeth extracted?

I am getting tried and I am a little undecided on which is a better dental plan type to get. Since I would like to see a dentist right away without having all the waiting periods that are in the dental insurance plan I’ve seen, a discount plan seems good.
But what am I missing if I get a discount plan instead of dental insurance? If I wait out the waiting periods would I have better coverages therefore in the long run having dental insurance would be better then a discount plan?

When I am searching online for dental insurance rates how do I know I am getting the best plan with the best rates. I have seen website that offering the what seems to be the same plan but with different cost for the plan. I am not understanding a dental plan could cost 25.00 a month an on another site the same dental plan could cost 15.00 a month.  If this is the cast how do I know I am buying the plan at the best possible rate?

I have a dental discount plan that save me 20% and it has been working well for my family so far. However now my husband job is making us move. It is good because it offer better pay and medical benefits.
My worry is that we will be changing states. My son is still has his braces and they will not be done in time for the move since he need them for another year. Will I still be able to get my 20% discount under the plan with another plan dentist.

Michael Fulbright, DDS, co-founder of Aesthetic Edge in Redondo Beach, is among the first dentists in the nation to offer a new service that recovers and preserves powerful dental stem cells. Only recently have regenerative medical researchers looked to human teeth as ideal sources for stem cells, which are widely used in treating leukemia and heart disease. Until now, stem cells could only be retrieved from umbilical cord blood, amniotic fluid and bone marrow.
According to Fulbright, dental stem cells are found only in healthy teeth (those with a blood supply) such as wisdom teeth and those that must be pulled for orthodontic work. He said that young patients, in particular, are excellent candidates for banking their stem cells since they are usually undergoing such extractions.

Gum Disease Has Far-Reaching Consequences that many people either over look of feel it is not a significant problem to address. Even though many people may suffer from various forms of gum disease, few realize how their ailment can be perceived by others.
Dr. Alex Farnoosh a Periodontist Specialist in Beverly Hills California states while gingivitis may not seem like a significant problem to many unsuspecting people, dental professionals all over the world agree that it is a serious complication and can lead to more overlooked issues that can impact a person’s health, well- being, and even happiness.
Beverly Hills periodontist Dr. Alex Farnoosh of The Total Smile, argues that gum disease can, and will if untreated, create unsightly cosmetic problems like discolored gums, bleeding around the gum line and eventually tooth loss.

Current value sales of adult mouth care in Nigeria were up by 9% in 2010. As Nigerians take oral health more seriously and proactively there has been growing demand for products like mouthwash treatments or gels to cure minor ailments while in the past they would have simply waited for it to pass. Although this began with upper-income consumers, middle class consumers are increasing their usage of such products.
