Tuesday, Jul. 24th 2012 1:11 PM

If you have  calcium spots on your teeth, you may want to consult a Cosmetic Specialist.
A cosmetic dentistry can help you get the best smile at any age. One of the most popular cosmetic dental procedures to a perfect smile is bonding.

Cosmetic dental bonding is a fairly painless procedure usually performed in one dental visit by applying an enamel like material to your teeth which is then shaped, hardened with a special light and polished.

For a more dramatic smile, porcelain veneers can make a drastic difference. With veneers, you can control the color, position, shape, and size of your new teeth which can correct crooked, worn, or chipped teeth. This procedure can cost between $1,200 – $3,500 per tooth

Although cosmetic dentistry insurance coverage is not afforded by most dental insurance companies.  Cosmetic dental coverage is normally provided by dental discount  plans. Discount dental plans usually  provides saving of 15 to 20 percent off the cosmetic dental care cost.

Oral and Dental Health Care Having Proper Flossing Technique.

Wednesday, Jul. 18th 2012 1:44 PM

Flossing is not only good for your teeth but very important to maintaining healthy gums.  When you flossing you want to use about 18” of floss making sure you leave an inch or two to work with. Gently follow the curves of  your teeth being sure to clean beneath the gum line.

Avoid snapping the floss on the gums and be gentle and take your time you want to avoid cutting your gums.   If you have any questions if your are flossing correctly talk to your dentist.  Show your dentist how you normally floss a dentist will tell you if your are flossing incorrectly.

Dental Insurance, Medicaid in California.

Monday, Jul. 16th 2012 9:40 AM

Right now I am on my family Medicaid plan.  I am told that their Medicaid plan is to cover everything including dental.   However,  I can not seem to find even one dentist that accepts the Medicaid plan.

I have a  tooth that is decaying to the point that you can see the decay and it really starting to hurt. I am worried that the tooth is going to brake off in bits.  I am seventeen and my parents can not afford to have my tooth fixed.  Is there any other type of low cost plan my parents can get so that I can have my tooth fixed?

Dental Insurance for Pre-existing dental conditions.

Thursday, Jul. 12th 2012 1:19 PM

Because of a recent employment change,  I  no longer have dental insurance benefits.  I thought I would be able to keep the dental plan I  had but was informed that I could not since it was a group dental plan.   My current job offers me much better medical care benefits but nothing for dental.  I need to  maintain dental insurance for my health care since I have diabetes.  My diabetes effects my teeth and gum health, so so seeing a dentist regularly is important.

I have to see my dentist every three months just so I can keep my teeth in good shape. I do not want to change dentist since mine knows about my diabetes and I like the way he takes care of me.  I do not know where to look for dental insurance and I want to make sure I will be covered for my future dental need.

Dental Care, What is the cause of Gingivitis ?

Saturday, Jun. 30th 2012 11:29 AM

I am 20 and I just got dental benefits though my job.  Using my plan benefits I went to see a dentist.  The dentist is telling me that I have Gingivitis.  Even though I have not been to the dentist is about four years due to cost and not having dental insurance, I always took really good care of my teeth and gums by brushing and flossing daily.

I think this dentist is just trying to get me pay more for deep cleaning I do not need to have. What is the cause of Gingivitis? Can you get it when you have good dental habits?  Should I see a different dentist?

The U.S. Supreme Court has issued an opinion that upholds the Affordable Health Care Act

Thursday, Jun. 28th 2012 10:29 AM

The U.S. Supreme Court has issued an opinion that upholds the Affordable Health Care Act

This includes the individual mandate for coverage.  The case challenged the constitutionality of several parts of the law, including the rule that most people in the U.S. must get health coverage.   We will continue to carry out provisions of the law by thoughtfully implementing the new requirements for customers and members. We will also continue to look for ways to address increasing costs that are crippling our health care system, including: ·      Advancing our partnership with primary care physicians announced earlier this year that we believe will substantially improve quality and member health, and potentially reduce the trend in overall medical costs by as much as 20% by 2015. ·      Coordinating patient care through the use of IBM-Watson technology to promote evidence-based health care and ensure that millions of Americans receive the most effective courses of treatment.  We look forward to continuing our efforts to work with policymakers and other key stakeholders to build a health care delivery system that provides security and affordability to all Americans.

There are many good things about garlic, in studies it show how garlic can help fight off infections, helps to keep your immune system healthy, and even may even prevent bone and joint problems later in life.    Beside that garlic taste good in may foods we may enjoy to eat.

However, the one down side to garlic it the bad breath effect afterwords. Not to many people are a fan of garlic breath. However a quick way to help neutralize the garlicky smell fast is to sip a small glass of milk.

Dental Insurance Plus, Can you see a dentist without dental insurance

Sunday, Jun. 24th 2012 10:59 AM

I have a friend that is very low income status and does not have either a dental insurance or a dental discount plan.  Can he still see a dentist?  He trying to find a dental office that will offer a payment plan but none will due to his poor credit.

He has currently as an abscess tooth and is in a great deal of pain.  Is there and ER for dental services?   At least in the ER you still get treated whether or not you have insurance and then you worry about the bill after the fact.  But it seems with dental you are out of luck.  What can my friend do at this point.

Dental Insurance Plus, What is Supplemental Dental Insurance

Friday, Jun. 22nd 2012 10:46 AM

Supplemental dental insurance is an individual or family insurance policy purchased to cover a portion of the dental costs. Supplemental dental insurance will normally not cover the entire dental care procedure.

If you have a primary dental insurance plan that you purchased or your employer provided, the supplemental dental policy typically covers the remaining dental bill.  For example, if the dental plan policy covers half of the dental cost, the secondary or supplement dental insurance plan should cover the remaining balance of your dental procedure.

A supplement dental insurance plan may also be purchased to cover the dental charges when there are annual dental benefit plan limits or exclusions.
