I had to had some cosmetic dental work done about two years back. I live in FL and found out at least where I was living most cosmetic dentist will offer a free consult if asked. Some will even do free X-rays. After all in most cases the work you are going to have done and the cost you will be spending is worth giving a free consult for.

I did not find a dental insurance plan willing to help but I did get a dental discount plan that the office took and save about 20 percent. It was better then nothing. My advise is save and budget for major cost like this so that it is easier to afford.

Yes there are many good dentist out there that help people. Like anything else though most people only talk about the bad. Even the bad is not always so bad but it what we make them out to be.

I for the longest time dislike dentist I still do not care for having to go but I know that they are only trying to do their job. Must be hard when they get people like me…. So yes nice to hear some good stories too.

Way to go, Nice to see some dentist giving back. My dentist is a really great dentist and is always willing to work payment issues out with people that need it . Even doing that is too much for some dentist. So when you hear about one doing something for their community it nice to know.

I have always and on and off again acid reflux that I have to deal with but did not know until now that it may also be effecting my teeth. I have a great dentist I do see twice a year so I would think he would say something to me if he notice any damage but I am going to bring this up at my next appointment.

I guess it would depend on what you feel full coverage means to you. Most dental insurance plans have limitations with regards to what they offer benefits for. Such as many exclude cosmetic dentistry. Some do not offer adult braces and so on.

Also if you mean full coverage as that you pay X dollar amount for the plan and do not have to pay for any cost at the dentist for all services I do not know of any dental insurance or plan that would offer that type of benefits.

However what may work for you is a dental discount plan in the fact that as long as you are going to a plan dentist you will get a reduce or discounted saving off all your dental care. So if you are looking to help lower your cost for dental services not normally covered by dental insurance a dental discount plan may be a good option for you.

A dental discount plans will normally save you around 20 to 25 percent off the cost of braces, with age not being a factor. Some HMO will offer adult braces but they would be for the standard metal kind normally. I would look into those plan options.

Many PPO either do not cover for braces or will not cover for adult braces. At least the one I reviewed online

I think that dental discount plans are useful in saving money off your dental care needs. If you are wanting a plan that start right away and does not have waiting periods or max limitations then reviewing a dental discount plan is a good option.

Yes getting a dental discount plan is a good low cost option to dental insurance. Make sure there are dentist in the plan you are reviewing. I suggest calling the dentist to confirm they are still accepting the plan and any other question you may have in picking a plan provider.

I live in New York and got a dental discount plan though DentalSave+ it really helped me save money on my dental needs where other insurance plans I reviewed would have made me wait a year or more.

There is nothing wrong with getting a low cost dental discount plans to help you save money. Dental insurance does not always help you when you need it too or can be too costly for many people.

There is not catch to dental discount plans. In fact just saying dental discount plans tell you what they do. They offer you discounted saving on your dental needs. Straight forward. You go to dentist within the plan those dentist reduce their cost for dental services.

There will be some services that are schedule out for your review showing you the cost that you will have to pay at any of their general dentist with in the plan. For services not listed or if you choose to go to a specialist the saving is normally around 20 percent.

It is so sad when people do not either take care of their oral health or feel that they can afford to take care of the dental health. I been on both sides. In the end deferred dental care is never a good idea and will normally always cost you more money in the end.

I am glad to see that your website does offer some low cost dental plans as an option to many people that do not have the money to afford dental PPO plans.

I also like your blogs you do not just try and sell dental insurance though that is part of it. You do offer other suggestion on dental care when asked.

John is right be very careful with dental insurance. Since you do have currently missing teeth you may fall into a preexisting issue where certain services will not be covered.

Also be aware that there are dental insurance plans that will offer you cover but you may have long term waiting periods for the very services you are seeking.

Reading each plan carefully will be very important and save you much grief latter on. A dental discount plan is a good dental plan option in order to save money on your dental care. Make sure you have a dental provider to go to before buying a dental discount plans. Since there is NO outside dental network on discount dental plans.
