Virginia Dental Insurance Coverages, How does a typical dental insurance plan work:  I would liked to know how dental insurance plan work to save you money?  The ones I see are costly and have waiting periods and annual max limitations.  I do not that they really save you all that much money in the end.   Maybe I missing out on something or are there dental insurance plans that are not as restrictive?

What I am wanting to understand is if say I buy a typical dental insurance plan what would I get out of it?  I see some that say there is no charge for X-rays and cleaning but is that really all I get out off it.   I do not see how much basic filling cost?
